Huge M.A.C and Sephora Haul

So I have recently gotten back from Florida and of course I went to Sephora, who couldn't when you travel to the USA. I'm going to start off with what I picked up from M.A.C as there isn't at much to talk about. So the first thing I picked up was a M.A.C eyeshadow in the shade Antiqued, I love this shade and have been wearing it a lot since I bought it, the second thing I picked up was a M.A.C Paint Pot in Painterly, I have been using this since I bought it, I have no idea what I did without this.

So on to what I picked up in Sephora, and there is a lot, I spent a lot of money in Sephora but I had been saving up and didn't spend as much as I thought I would.

The first thing I picked up was the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrushed Foundation in Fair Light Neutral, I had wanted this foundation for ages, and I am so pleased that I purchased this, the coverage is amazing and depending in what type of brush you use will depend in the amount of coverage, this is a very build able foundation and I have worn this a lot since I got my hands on it. To go with this foundation I picked up the Pro Flawless Light Powder Brush in 50, this is an amazing brush and i love using it with this powder foundation, as it gives a very natural finish.

I also picked up on of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed, I have worn is everyday since I purchased it, I think it is save to say I am in love with this, very natural blush that just makes you look healthy.

Now on to all the brow products I picked up, I used to be the person that didn't do much to her brows as I though it didn't make a difference and oh I was wrong so I knew that I needed to pick up the Anataisa Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown, I have been using this every time to do my make-up.  The next brow product I picked up was the Anataisa Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown, I normally use them went I am doing a full face of make-up, I wore this for my graduation.
I also picked up the Sephora Brow Filler 100, I love this brush it works really well for filling in my brows it works really well.

The next thing I picked up was the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper  I have needed a new felt tip liner for while and I had hear good things about this, I have to say that I love this eye-liner, its just a shame that I can't buy this easily in the UK.

I also picked up the Bite Neutral Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo in Date and Fig, I struggle to find neurtal lipsticks that suit my skintone but both fig and date suit me really well and they are prefect to carry around in handbag and are prefect for days when I don't want to have to worry about my lip colour fading. I also picked up Bite Luminous Creme Lipstick in Fig  I love this colour so much and I wanted the full size.

If you have read my blog before you may realised that I have a love of Red lipstick, so I picked up the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01, this is a love red shade it is long wearing and amazing.

I have wanted a spot cleaner for ages so I picked up the Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner, this cleans by brushes quickly and it doesn't take them very long to dry and they feel so nice after I use this.

The next things I got with points, the first thing was a travel size  Living Proof Instant Texture Mist, I like this as it gives my hair a little it more texture, I like using this when I am not doing much to my hair. The next thing I got was the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear- Waterproof, this is a beautiful blue eye-liner that looks amazing when I am I wearing wear very little on my eyes.
The last thing is the birthday present from Sephora, it was the Nars Duo in Cruella and Rikigien, I love both of these colour and will get a lot of wear out of them.

Una Brennan Salicyclic Acid Anti Blemish Clay Mask Review

So I have been meaning to write this post for awhile now, I am eventually getting around to putting my thoughts about this product down on paper (laptop). I have been using this clay mask now for about 8 months if not more and I have really enjoyed using this product.

The product claims to clear out dirt, excessive oils and toxins which leads to breakouts, I have been using this for about 4 months now I have to say it is one of the most effective clay masks I have used and it really does work well on my blemishes and it does help to clear out my pores as I have very oily skin which means that I tend to have quite a lot of black heads which are really stubborn. I use this mask about twice a week and I love it as I only have to leave it on for 5 minutes.
This means that I can easily add it into my skin care routine even if i am in a bit of a hurry as I don't have to sit around for 15 minutes. I do however tend to use this more at night as I removes excess oil I find that I like to use it at night so I can go straight in with my serum and moisturiser.

I like the packaging for this product as it is a simple layout and I like that the background is a light grey with black, Bright Green and Grey text and the front is easy to read. I like that the product just tells you what you need to know.

The product is a quite thick but is really easy to apply to the face and I like to use quite a thick layer over the skin, it doesn't take very long to dry, it does tingle a little when it is applied to the skin but it doesn't tingle for long and most importantly it doesn't burn. It makes the skin feel very soft and it does help with my blemishes, and you don't have to wait around for ages for this product to work as you only need to leave it on for 5 minutes, which is great for me as I get very bored when I have to sit with a face mask on for 15 minutes for more.

I haven't noticed that much of a smell with this product, this would be good for people that are sensitive to smells.

This product would be great for oily or blemish prone skin, it might be a little much for people who have dry skin but if you following it but with a hydrating serum and moisturiser you may be able to get away with it.

I would definitely say that this mask it worth the money, it is £8.99 from boots, I think this is very good value for the money.

Graduation Ball Makeup

So I have just had my graduation ball and though it would be nice to show you what make up I wore.

I took my Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation, which might have developed into my new favourite foundation, I am in the shade Mont Blac, this is a foundation that is best suited to oily skin and it lasts for a really long time and it has very good coverage it would say medium but it is definitely buildable. I also brought my sample size of my Benefit Porefessional, which is one of my favourite primers. I also brought my benefit stay all day eye primer and my NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. For concealers I brought my Maxfactor Colour Corrector Stick for Under Eyes and my Revlon Colour Stay in Light, this is a little yellow but it blends really well and the coverage is okay its not amazing but it does the job. For my Eyes I used my Urban Decay Naked on The Run Palette which I will do a review on when I get back from Florida, as it is advertised as the perfect travel palette, as it has bronzer, blush and a highlighter. For contour I brought my Illmasqua Hollow, which is the perfect cream contour for pale skin. I also brought my Urban Decay Subversion and Perversion mascara. For my Brows I used the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette the two darkest colours and my Maybelline Brow Drama. On my cheeks I used my friends Nars Blush (I was going to use my Topshop Creme Blush in Head over Heels). On my lips I used my Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 and my Ellis Faas Lipstick in the shade L103. The highlighter I used Benefits High Beam and One Heck of a Blot.

May Favourites 2015

So I haven't done favourites post in months and the reason why is  I haven'r really had that many, so I thought I would do a combine my favourites.

Bourjois CC cream:
I haven't really wanted to wear a heavy foundation this month so I have found myself reaching for my Bourjois CC cream, as it is light coverage but will still make my blemishes less noticeable. The colour is slightly dark on me but I am able to blend it in well so it is hardly noticeable.

My very beautiful red dress
Little Mistress Red Dress:
This dress is one of my favourites this month, isn't it amazing, I'm not normally one to talk about clothing but this is rather special as this was the dress that I wore for my graduation ball, I love the colour and the style as it givers me the illusions of having bigger boobs as it has a sweetheart neckline but it has a sort of mesh type fabric covered in beads which really hides the fact that I have very little in the boob department.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation:
I have only just bought the full size of this product but I feel completely in love with my sample and I knew i needed it in my life, this gives medium buildable coverage and stays really well on my very very oily skin, and although it has great staying power it doesn't look overly matte, unlike my Estee Lauder Double Wear.

Benefit Rockateur Blush:
this is a blush I had wanted for a very long time and my Aunty purchased this for me for my birthday back in February, and I have fallen in love with it. She bought me the Rock-itude gift set and I have to say that I also love high beam and bene tint.

Illamasqua Hollow:
I have wanted this for a long time and purchased it back in february and I have been in love with it even since, it can look slightly scary when you first get it but it really is the perfect contour if you have a light skin tone, as it isn't too orange or too muddy, it really is the prefect shade (can you tell I love this).

I haven't really had that many favourites this month, as i have been very lazy this month when it comes to new products.

Coffee With Currys Event

So last Thursday I was invited to an event hosted by Joes Blogs and Curry's, I like coffee and alcohol and my friends Becca from a Polkadotnotebook said that I would enjoy so I asked if there was any space left and there was which was really surprising as it was about two days before the event. This is only the third blog event I have been too and the only one this year ( I really need to be more sociable).

I have to say the Cocktails were amazing, although I am not really that keen on coffee and alcohol together, I did enjoy the Salted Caramel Latte Cocktail, I couldn't of drank very many of these and as I said earlier I'm not really a big fan of alcohol and coffee. After we all chatted for a bit it was time of the Cocktail Masterclass over at the bar and we had the very talented (and patient) Rory and Josh.

When it was my turn to go and make a cocktail I asked for it without coffee, (I know it was a coffee event but) I have to say I am really glad I did, it tasted like Fab ice lollies it had amaretto and cherry and chocolate vodka and chocolate sauce what's not to love, and as much as I love coffee it would have been far to strong for me. Every group made a different cocktail so it was still really interesting to watch, although I was at the back and found it slightly hard to see but that's what I get for being short. I have to say Rory and Josh are very good at what they do and so much more skilled than we were, the picture below is them pouring 5 cocktails at once,

They then did a very amazing vodka train and OMG it was amazing, and every one got a shot it was so nice I think mine was fruit salad and it was so nice if I had let myself I could have just sat and drank them forever (I didn't tho as I need to get a bus home). We were then invited to have some nibbles the pizza was amazing and some lovely bloggers won some amazing prizes for the best tweets and Instagram posts.
So many shots

Sephora Wishlist

I am travelling to America soon and I am going to Sephora (obviously), so I decided to make a list of what make up and things I wanted, some of these are things that we can't get in the UK and others that are so much cheaper to buy in the states

The first thing I want is the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in the shades Berry Pop and Beigie Pop, The first colour is a very me colour as I love bright and berry colours. The second colour is a lot more neutral which has been something I have been going for lately.

The second thing I want is Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in A Go Go and Bachelorette, yet again a neon orange matte lipstick is something that I know I will love, like I said I love bright colours if I can't be bold with lip colour then what can I be bold with, that being said Bachelorette is a colour that I wouldn't normally go for but I think that it would suit me.

I have fallen in love with doing my eyebrows recently, and really want to try the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown, this will be completely new to me as I use a pencil to fill in my brows but I have heard great things about this, so will be over the moon if I can get my hands on it.

I have wanted this foundation for ages the Tarte Anazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation in fair light neutral, I have been after this foundation but I didn't really want to buy it online so I have waited until my holiday to purchase it.

The last thing I really want is the Tarte Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush, I have wanted this brush since I decided I want the airbrush foundation and i think it will be really good at applying the foundation.

Okay so I lied it wasn't the last thing but this is a maybe, I love my beauty blender that Becca gave me for my birthday, so I am tempted to get another one but I'm not sure yet.

Very Small Haul

So I was only the look out for some new products mainly a waterproof mascara and a new concealer, so I thought I would share what I picked up in Boots and Superdrug,

The first thing I picked up was the L'Oreal False Lash Architect Waterproof, which has 4 dimension effect fibres, now I needed a waterproof mascara, as I was attending my Nanna Funeral so needed something that wouldn't run down my face and it held up pretty well.

The second thing I picked up was Revlon Colorstay Concealer in the Shade Light, I had been using Seventeen Phawworr paint but recently we hadn't been getting along, so i decided on this as it matched my skin pretty well and can cover both under my eyes and blemishes brilliantly.

The final thing I picked up was the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, and I have been wearing this non stop for the last week of March, it is slightly to dark but I can blend it really well it is light enough that my skin can breath but still gives me enough coverage, I am in love and I think I will take this to Florida with me and it will match me better in summer, (or Florida heat).

What happened in March

So March has been a very strange month, I finished and handed in my dissertation, met my new baby cousin (so cute) but it has also been a very sad month, my 88 year old Nanna died on the 7th, which wasn't unexpected but still very devastating for everyone.

A very young (12/13) me at my Mam and Dads Wedding with Nanna
We found out that my grandparents dog Ben had cancer and sadly it wasn't treatable, so we lost him too.
Me and Ben

My grandma also managed to fall and break her wrist (hopefully we have had all of our bad luck).
Needless to say I haven't had a lot of motivation this month but I did manage to complete my dissertation which was a task and a half. I am hoping that next month I will be able to focus on blogging again as I have missed it.

January Favourites 2015

Beauty Blender:

I got the beauty blender as I Christmas present from the lovely Becca, If it is possible to fall in love with a make up tool then I can safely say I have. Why you may ask? Well it leaves my foundation looking flawless as it covers my pores, which always makes my make up look so much better. I think I have used this everyday or almost since I have started back in Uni. :)

Alien Eau de Perfume :
If you read my what I got for Christmas post, you have already know I received this, I have worn it almost everyday apart from a few occasions where, I forgot or used another one I got for Christmas. I love the smell, and the bottle also looks amazing too.

Urban Decay Naked On the Run Palette:
OMG I love this palette so much, I am trying not to use it too much as I am planning on taking it to Florida but it makes doing my make up so quick and easy as all the products i need are in the same place. I am going to write a review of this soon hopefully.

No7 Superlight Foundation:
I loved this back in summer, and I have found myself reaching for it a lot this month, it evens out my skin but it isn't full coverage which I am liking at the moment, as I wore a lot of make up over Christmas.

Chanel Lipstick in Priate:
This is another Christmas gift, and I have only worn it a few times but the colour is amazing and it is so easy to apply and looks amazing on the lips, this is a lipstick that I will only wear on special occasions but it is lovely.

Favourite person:
So this isn't a beauty favourite it is a human favourite I don't normally do these however this month I am. Becca from a Polkadot notebook, has to be my favourite person, I will point out she is also my best friend so its not that strange well maybe just a little strange. I love her blog and I also love her as a person (soppy much?)

Christmas Wishlist

So Christmas is getting closer and I have been thinking about things I would like.

The first thing I have fallen in live with is the new Urban Decay On The Run Palette:
I think I described this a the perfect palette for Florida as I wouldn't have to take any other face products apart from foundation. The shades are amazing and I do have a major love of urban decay products.

Ceramic Snowman Cup from Costa:
I love the Christmas cup from costa and when I saw these I instanly wanted one and I have to say the snow man is my favourite.

TopShop Glow Highligher in the shade Polish:
I have had my eye in this forever, every time I go into TopShop I end up swatching this and always send up leaving without purchasing it, I love the fact that is a creame highlighter as I love creame products.

Diptyque Epice Candle:
OMG this candle smells amazing it reminds me so much of Christmas as it is so spicy and lovely, however I can't justify spending £15 on a mini candle, I might have to buy it in the sale after Christmas.

A5 Dreamscape Detail Diary:
My current diary runs out at the end of the year (obviously) and I have been looking for a new one and I found this one in paper chase and fell in love as it looks so pretty. It has a week by week view which means I have enough room to write everything I am doing everyday which helps to keep me organised. It also has an owl on it which is an added bonus and it costs £14.

Where have I been ?

So this post is an explanation to where I have been over the past few months, the last time i blogged was in September and I ended up taking a break and it wasn't intentional.

I started back at university at the end of September and I haven't really come up for air since, the thought of taking a break from university work to do anything other than sleeping has been difficult for me to do.

Since I started blogging I have used it as away to take my mind off university work and I haven't had that for a few months and I have been a complete stress head, so the idea of writing something that wasn't my ethics submission or assignments caused me more stress.

I am now getting back into blogging and I might only end up posting once or twice a week but that is all I can manage at the moment.

Getting Organised for University

Anyone who knows be knows that i'm not a very organised person but this year I am determined that this year I am going to be organised as I don't want to be as stressed as I was last year.

The first thing I am doing is using a diary as it means that I can put in assignment deadlines so that I don't forget when they are. It also means that I will know what assignments to tackle first which is always a good thing.

The second thing I am going to do it is to make sure that I have my assignment finished a week before it is due in which would give me more time to proof read it and make sure that I haven't made any errors.

The third thing I am going to do is to colour code all of my subjects so that I can no from a distance what subject I am looking at and to go along with colour coding would be to make sure that I have the lecture slides printed out a head for time so that I can listen to what is being said.

The fourth thing that I want to do is to make sure that I have a file where I can put everything that is related to a subjects so that I can't lose anything that is related to a subject, as I have done that in the past and it is really annoying.

The last thing that I want to start doing is to start to write to do lists so I know what I need to do and when I need them do by this will also help with blog posts during the year as well.

This blush is a deep plum with a matte finish and I love how this looks on the cheeks as it just gives a lovely flush to the cheeks and it looks great on my pale skin, and with sleek it is very pigmented a little goes a very long way. It is a perfect autumnal colour.

Sleek Blush in Pomegranate:
Pomegranate is a berry coloured blush that has a shimmery finish and it is very pigmented, which means that a little goes a very long way, but it goes give a nice glow to the cheeks and it is a great blush for autumn/winter.

Illamasqua  Cream Blush in Seduce:
This has to be my favourite autumnal blush it is a warm rose pink that has a dewy finish it does look over the top which can happen with some shimmery blushes but this does have a lovely dewy finish. It is so easy to apply because it is a cream blush it blends out amazingly well and it is very difficult to use to much because of the fact that it is a cream product it is very easy to fix mistakes.

Autumn Lipsticks

So now that September is here and in England the weather has changed, I though it was about time I started thinking about my Autumn Lipsticks. I love autumn and winter as I get to wear all my deep and dark lipsticks :).

I have a lot of lipsticks that I like to wear in autumn/winter and in autumn I tend to wear more red/berry shades as I absolutely love wearing them. These are the seven lipsticks that I love to wear in the colder months.

MAC Rebel:
I got this as a Christmas present last year and I completely fell in love with it as I could build it up and wear it as a deep plum shade or it would be applied as a sheer wash of colour which and it still looking amazing.

Revlon Black Cherry:
When I first saw this lipstick i have to say it looked really really dark in the bullet and this can look really dark on the lips but i do love how it looks on the lips and it really is a vampy colour that I really love.

L-R Rimmel Glam Plum Fulham, MAC Rebel, Wet & Wild Ferguson Crest Cabernet, Revlon Black Cherry, Illamasqua Sangers, Rimmel Kate Moss 107, Rimmel Apocalips Galaxy
Wet & Wild Ferguson Crest Cabernet:
This was the first purple colour that I received and it is one that i use the least but i do really like the colour and i will have to start wearing it more often as it is a really nice colour.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107:
the is a really nice wine colour and because it is matte it staying on the lips and it also still looks nice when it has started to fade, which is always a bonus and I do love matte lips.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick Glam Plum Fulham:
I love this lipstick and I love the fact that it does dry my lips out and it looks quite glossy on the and although it doesn't say as long as my matte lipsticks it still stays for quite awhile and I don't mind having to reapply it.

Illamasqua Sangers:
I love wearing this red in autumn as it isn't too bright but it isn't too dark so i feel like i can wear it on a daily basis, and i really love how long wearing this is and it really does stay put, i really want more of the Illamasqua lipsticks.

Rimmel Apocalips Galaxy:
I really love the this colour it isn't as in your face as some of my other purples and i love that this has a little bit of shimmer in the lipstick, and i did get a lot of wear out of this and I'm sure i will this autumn winter too.

Eating out for My Grandmas Birthday

So last Tuesday me, my auntie and my grandma went out for lunch for my grandmas birthday and we were celebrating early as she was going away on holiday on her birthday. We met up in Newcastle and first had a drink in the Milecastle, we then had a little look around Newcastle then a slow walk down to the quayside and I  had forgotten how pretty it is, as I have been down there in a long time. We had decided that we were going for an Italian and decided on Uno's Trattoria. I hadn't been here in a long time and I have to say the food was really nice. The weather was also lovely so we ended up sitting outside and I also got a little bit of a sun tan which is very unlike me.

We all got starters and shared them, so we got potato skins, chicken wings and garlic bread and it was really nice. main course me and my auntie shared so we got a Pepperoni pizza and Cannelloni and I have so say it was really nice it is a long time since I have Italian. My grandma got the Mafiosa and really enjoyed it as well and we were all too full to even think about dessert.

It was a really nice day as I hadn't spent the day with my grandma and auntie in quite along time as finding time when we are all free can be quite difficult but we will have to start doing it more often as it is really nice.

Makeup Starter Kit - Drugstore

I was looking though my makeup and decided that I would so a makeup starter kit including some of the products that I love.

For Base:
The base I would choose would be the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation and I always forget about No7 as they are always at the front of boots with the high end makeup, which I try to avoid, but when I remember they do amazing foundations. They also colour match which is great as all of there colours are the same across all there foundations so it is really easy to buy a new foundation once you know there shade and they will also tell you your summer shade too.
Right onto the foundation itself the coverage is light to medium and is easy to build and I love applying this with my fingers as it makes it very quick and easy. it is also suitable for all skin types, which is always a bonus.
There are two concealers that are really good for covering up any blemishes and that is the Seventeen Phwoarr Paint that is branded as an under eye concealer however I find that it is too heavy for under my eye but great at covering anything else.
For under eye concealer I would recommend the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer as it isn't to heavy and really helps to brighten the eye area.
For powder I would recommend the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder that is really great for keeping makeup in place and it helps to control oil.

For eyes:
I would recommend any of the Sleek eye shadow palettes, I have the Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette and as with all sleek products it is a highly pigmented and the palette is very versatile, the palette contains 12 eyeshadows, two are matte and they are both neutral browns and there are 10 shimmery shades. This palettes is great for creating both day and night looks.

For Cheeks:
I would recommend the Sleek Blushes, like the eye shadows they are very pigmented and you have to be careful when applying them but they are lovely and come in a range of shades. My favourites are Flushed for autumn/winter and Rose Gold for spring/summer.

For Lips:
I would recommend a your lips but better colour as it can be worn both day and night and for a starter lipstick it would be a great place to start, for my lips but better colour I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish in the shade Asia.
