What's in My Make up Bag

In my make-up bag I should just refer to it as my lipstick bag and yes I have a huge obsession with lipstick it is my favourite make-up product and I have way more than I should. I also have a huge love for drug store make-up and I am the type of person that doesn't spend money unless she has too or when I really really need something.

I have two high-end lipsticks and they are both from M.A.C both of which I got for Christmas this year and one for my birthday, my first M.A.C lipstick is a deep red-purple shade Rebel which I am in love with, it is by far one of my favour lipsticks that I own. My second M.A.C lipstick is in the colour Lady Danger which is a matte red with an orange undertone, which is a really summery colour but I am love where this as it give a amazing pop of colour.

Another lipstick I have is Rimmel Matte Kate lipstick in 107 which I my favourite deep matte red shade which I love to wear if I have a neutral eye and am looking to brighten my makeup but with a colour that will last awhile. Another Rimmel lipstick I have is in the shade Asia which was one of the first lipstick I bought and is one of my favourites and it has been my earlier morning lipstick for the past few weeks especially as I have my dyed my hair a red-purple colour so I really need a neutral lip and it isn't to much work to keep up during the day.

My next lipstick is my Revlon lipstick in the colour Black Cherry and if you haven't already guessed I love dark lip colour purely because I feel really confident when I wear them but I have the deep burgundy red colour of this lipstick and I love that you can deepen the colour depending on how many layers you put on which pleases me greatly as I really love purple lip colours.

Revlon Black Cherry

I also have two of the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains in the colour Romantic and Crush as they are great for a wash of colour that is easy to apply. These are really good for days where I don't want to wear a neutral lip but can't be bothered to wear a full on red or purple lip, so these are great and don't need to be topped up as regularly as a full on lip which is great of early starts and long Uni days.

The last really deep colour I have is from TopShop and it is there lipstick in Beguiled and this is a lipstick that I wanted since 2012 but only got around to buying in January and although I haven't worn this as much as I would like and love the colour and it is just a bit more red than Revlon Black Cherry

The last lips colour in my makeup bag is an Avon lipstick in the colour Smitten Red and I love the finish to this lipstick as it has a slight shine but not enough to be over the top and makes the lips look amazing I also have to wear this more as I have to say I wear bright red more in Spring, Summer and Autumn however I do love this lipstick a lot and hope to wear a lot more in the hopefully warmer months.

I also have two lip balms which are a coca cola lip smacker in the flavour Strawberry and a Burt's Bees lip balm in Pomegranate and both of these are moisturising which surprised me with the lip smacker as I though it might be a bit of gimmick, but it is really nice.

I also have a mascara from Gosh which is their Growth Mascara and to be honest I'm not a huge fan I got this in a Glossy Box and I only use it if I have forgot to put mascara on which can happen at 6am as I am still asleep doing my makeup.

The last thing I have in my makeup bag is Seventeen heavy duty under eye concealer in the shade fair now I am going to start out by saying that I don't use this as an under eye concealer as it far to thick for me but this is great for covering blemishes that my foundation doesn't cover as I have a cold it means that I need to reapply it round my nose a lot a the moment but also I find that being is Uni for 9am on a Monday means that I sometimes to reapply concealer or blend foundation in again with my fingers as it has normally rubbed off half way through my day which of course sucks but there isn't really much I can do about that is is also great to cover where my glasses have been sitting as they remove my makeup from the area of my face, which is annoying. That is all that a keep in my makeup bag so I hope you enjoyed reading this.

Welcome to Beneath a Moonless Sky

Hi and welcome to my blog.

I am a 20 year old psychology student in my second year at Northumbria. I have a major love of musicals thanks to my dad, who introduced me to them. My favourite has to be Phantom of the Opera, and I am going to see Evita and Cats this year, which I’m really looking forward too.

I also have a major love of everything Disney, from their films to their theme parks in Florida. My three favourite disney films are Frozen, which is amazing and I love listening to the songs, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid, which have always been my favourites.

My blog is about everything beauty related, as I have an obsession which lipstick but I really love trying new products and deciding if I like them or not. It also helps with the stress of Uni as I have something to take my mind off assignments and exams, so makeup really helps me to de stress.
