Christmas Wishlist

So Christmas is getting closer and I have been thinking about things I would like.

The first thing I have fallen in live with is the new Urban Decay On The Run Palette:
I think I described this a the perfect palette for Florida as I wouldn't have to take any other face products apart from foundation. The shades are amazing and I do have a major love of urban decay products.

Ceramic Snowman Cup from Costa:
I love the Christmas cup from costa and when I saw these I instanly wanted one and I have to say the snow man is my favourite.

TopShop Glow Highligher in the shade Polish:
I have had my eye in this forever, every time I go into TopShop I end up swatching this and always send up leaving without purchasing it, I love the fact that is a creame highlighter as I love creame products.

Diptyque Epice Candle:
OMG this candle smells amazing it reminds me so much of Christmas as it is so spicy and lovely, however I can't justify spending £15 on a mini candle, I might have to buy it in the sale after Christmas.

A5 Dreamscape Detail Diary:
My current diary runs out at the end of the year (obviously) and I have been looking for a new one and I found this one in paper chase and fell in love as it looks so pretty. It has a week by week view which means I have enough room to write everything I am doing everyday which helps to keep me organised. It also has an owl on it which is an added bonus and it costs £14.

Where have I been ?

So this post is an explanation to where I have been over the past few months, the last time i blogged was in September and I ended up taking a break and it wasn't intentional.

I started back at university at the end of September and I haven't really come up for air since, the thought of taking a break from university work to do anything other than sleeping has been difficult for me to do.

Since I started blogging I have used it as away to take my mind off university work and I haven't had that for a few months and I have been a complete stress head, so the idea of writing something that wasn't my ethics submission or assignments caused me more stress.

I am now getting back into blogging and I might only end up posting once or twice a week but that is all I can manage at the moment.

Getting Organised for University

Anyone who knows be knows that i'm not a very organised person but this year I am determined that this year I am going to be organised as I don't want to be as stressed as I was last year.

The first thing I am doing is using a diary as it means that I can put in assignment deadlines so that I don't forget when they are. It also means that I will know what assignments to tackle first which is always a good thing.

The second thing I am going to do it is to make sure that I have my assignment finished a week before it is due in which would give me more time to proof read it and make sure that I haven't made any errors.

The third thing I am going to do is to colour code all of my subjects so that I can no from a distance what subject I am looking at and to go along with colour coding would be to make sure that I have the lecture slides printed out a head for time so that I can listen to what is being said.

The fourth thing that I want to do is to make sure that I have a file where I can put everything that is related to a subjects so that I can't lose anything that is related to a subject, as I have done that in the past and it is really annoying.

The last thing that I want to start doing is to start to write to do lists so I know what I need to do and when I need them do by this will also help with blog posts during the year as well.

Autumn Blushes

I love it when the seasons change and I can bring out my old favourites autumn/winter products and as you have already seen is my Autumn Lipsticks and I love the blushes that I wear in the colder months so here is the list of my favourite blushes.

Sleek Blush in Flushed:
This blush is a deep plum with a matte finish and I love how this looks on the cheeks as it just gives a lovely flush to the cheeks and it looks great on my pale skin, and with sleek it is very pigmented a little goes a very long way. It is a perfect autumnal colour.

Sleek Blush in Pomegranate:
Pomegranate is a berry coloured blush that has a shimmery finish and it is very pigmented, which means that a little goes a very long way, but it goes give a nice glow to the cheeks and it is a great blush for autumn/winter.

Illamasqua  Cream Blush in Seduce:
This has to be my favourite autumnal blush it is a warm rose pink that has a dewy finish it does look over the top which can happen with some shimmery blushes but this does have a lovely dewy finish. It is so easy to apply because it is a cream blush it blends out amazingly well and it is very difficult to use to much because of the fact that it is a cream product it is very easy to fix mistakes.

Autumn Lipsticks

So now that September is here and in England the weather has changed, I though it was about time I started thinking about my Autumn Lipsticks. I love autumn and winter as I get to wear all my deep and dark lipsticks :).

I have a lot of lipsticks that I like to wear in autumn/winter and in autumn I tend to wear more red/berry shades as I absolutely love wearing them. These are the seven lipsticks that I love to wear in the colder months.

MAC Rebel:
I got this as a Christmas present last year and I completely fell in love with it as I could build it up and wear it as a deep plum shade or it would be applied as a sheer wash of colour which and it still looking amazing.

Revlon Black Cherry:
When I first saw this lipstick i have to say it looked really really dark in the bullet and this can look really dark on the lips but i do love how it looks on the lips and it really is a vampy colour that I really love.

L-R Rimmel Glam Plum Fulham, MAC Rebel, Wet & Wild Ferguson Crest Cabernet, Revlon Black Cherry, Illamasqua Sangers, Rimmel Kate Moss 107, Rimmel Apocalips Galaxy
Wet & Wild Ferguson Crest Cabernet:
This was the first purple colour that I received and it is one that i use the least but i do really like the colour and i will have to start wearing it more often as it is a really nice colour.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107:
the is a really nice wine colour and because it is matte it staying on the lips and it also still looks nice when it has started to fade, which is always a bonus and I do love matte lips.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick Glam Plum Fulham:
I love this lipstick and I love the fact that it does dry my lips out and it looks quite glossy on the and although it doesn't say as long as my matte lipsticks it still stays for quite awhile and I don't mind having to reapply it.

Illamasqua Sangers:
I love wearing this red in autumn as it isn't too bright but it isn't too dark so i feel like i can wear it on a daily basis, and i really love how long wearing this is and it really does stay put, i really want more of the Illamasqua lipsticks.

Rimmel Apocalips Galaxy:
I really love the this colour it isn't as in your face as some of my other purples and i love that this has a little bit of shimmer in the lipstick, and i did get a lot of wear out of this and I'm sure i will this autumn winter too.

Eating out for My Grandmas Birthday

So last Tuesday me, my auntie and my grandma went out for lunch for my grandmas birthday and we were celebrating early as she was going away on holiday on her birthday. We met up in Newcastle and first had a drink in the Milecastle, we then had a little look around Newcastle then a slow walk down to the quayside and I  had forgotten how pretty it is, as I have been down there in a long time. We had decided that we were going for an Italian and decided on Uno's Trattoria. I hadn't been here in a long time and I have to say the food was really nice. The weather was also lovely so we ended up sitting outside and I also got a little bit of a sun tan which is very unlike me.

We all got starters and shared them, so we got potato skins, chicken wings and garlic bread and it was really nice. main course me and my auntie shared so we got a Pepperoni pizza and Cannelloni and I have so say it was really nice it is a long time since I have Italian. My grandma got the Mafiosa and really enjoyed it as well and we were all too full to even think about dessert.

It was a really nice day as I hadn't spent the day with my grandma and auntie in quite along time as finding time when we are all free can be quite difficult but we will have to start doing it more often as it is really nice.

Makeup Starter Kit - Drugstore

I was looking though my makeup and decided that I would so a makeup starter kit including some of the products that I love.

For Base:
The base I would choose would be the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation and I always forget about No7 as they are always at the front of boots with the high end makeup, which I try to avoid, but when I remember they do amazing foundations. They also colour match which is great as all of there colours are the same across all there foundations so it is really easy to buy a new foundation once you know there shade and they will also tell you your summer shade too.
Right onto the foundation itself the coverage is light to medium and is easy to build and I love applying this with my fingers as it makes it very quick and easy. it is also suitable for all skin types, which is always a bonus.
There are two concealers that are really good for covering up any blemishes and that is the Seventeen Phwoarr Paint that is branded as an under eye concealer however I find that it is too heavy for under my eye but great at covering anything else.
For under eye concealer I would recommend the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer as it isn't to heavy and really helps to brighten the eye area.
For powder I would recommend the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder that is really great for keeping makeup in place and it helps to control oil.

For eyes:
I would recommend any of the Sleek eye shadow palettes, I have the Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette and as with all sleek products it is a highly pigmented and the palette is very versatile, the palette contains 12 eyeshadows, two are matte and they are both neutral browns and there are 10 shimmery shades. This palettes is great for creating both day and night looks.

For Cheeks:
I would recommend the Sleek Blushes, like the eye shadows they are very pigmented and you have to be careful when applying them but they are lovely and come in a range of shades. My favourites are Flushed for autumn/winter and Rose Gold for spring/summer.

For Lips:
I would recommend a your lips but better colour as it can be worn both day and night and for a starter lipstick it would be a great place to start, for my lips but better colour I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish in the shade Asia.

August Favourites

So it is the time of the month where I tell you all about the products that I have using and loving this month and I really can't believe that August is over all ready.

The first thing I have been completely in love with this month is the No7 Superlight Foundation in the shade Calico, which I have reviewed if you want to check it out you can click here. I really love this foundation as it is the perfect colour for my skin tone and as I haven't needed a lot of coverage this month I have found my self wearing it a lot. It last really well on my although I do still have to powder during the day I don't have to do it as much as it contains some powder within the foundation itself.

The next thing I have enjoyed using has been my John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo for Colour Treated Hair and the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Conditioner, I really like them as they lather well and leaving my hair feeling really clean and they do give a hint of volume which is good as I do have quite flat hair.

The third thing I have been in love with is my Topshop Cream Blush in the shade Head over Heels, which looks very bright in the pan but once it is applied to the cheeks it gives a lovely peachy glow to the cheeks and it can be paired with a lot of different eye and lip looks as it does give a healthy glow to the cheeks and it is perfect for spring summer but I think I will find myself wearing this in winter too. I also love the cream to powder finish.

A skin care favourite this month in the Eucerin Purifyer Cleanser, Becca from a Polkadot Notebook Blog gave me a sample as she though that I would like it. I have I to say that I am completely in love with it and although it is a purifying cleanser it doesn't dry my skin out and I have to say it does work really well to clean up any breakouts I might be having.

I have also fallen back in love with an old skin care product and it is the Clearasil Daily Clear Deep Cleansing Pads, I use these instead of a tone on an evening and I find that these also help to clear up my skin and they do sometimes sting if I have a spot but it does really help to clean them up.

Night out with the Family

So last Friday I went out with my family for a meal as my dad's parents were over from Spain and we hadn't seen them for awhile, my dad's brother also came down from Edinburgh, so it was a really good night out.

We first when for some drinks at the Town Wall and the bar was really nice but I have to say the did need more bar staff as two really wasn't enough, but it was nice to sit around and chat before we went for food, our table was booked at Ottoman for 8 although we didn't sit down until about half past as there was a mix up with put table, this is the third time I have eaten Turkish food and I have to say it really was amazing and it did remind me a lot of Red Mezza.

The food was really nice and we all enjoyed it, for starter me and Hayley shared a hot mixed mezza starter and for main I had the Lamb shish and I don't eat lamb very often as my mam doesn't really like it, and I was really but I couldn't finish it as there was a lot. For dessert we had baklava which has got to be one of my favourite desserts but I can never finish it.

The restaurant was really nice and the service was great and I would defiantly go there again and the location was great as well.

A Small Collective Haul

So last Tuesday I went shopping with Becca from A Polka Dot Notebook Blog and I picked up a few things from Debenhams, Boots and Marks and Spencer's.

So the first thing I picked up was the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Subversion primer £17.99:
I had know intention of buying this as I don't normally spend that much on mascara but Becca enabled me as she was wearing this and it looked amazing, and as this is new I got it for £17.99 which is much cheaper than it would have been if I had bought them separately.

The second thing I bought was from boots these were:
I picked up the Lynx Dry Deodorant in Excite £3.29:
I know that is for men but I really love the smell and it doesn't make me sneeze like most deodorants do.
The next thing I picked up was the Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain in the Shade New York Scene £7.99
This is a dark red which is a very me colour and I have to say I have gotten quite of abit of wear out of it has it doesn't take ages to apply.
The next thing I picked up was the Sleek I-Divine Storm Palette £7.99:
I have wanted a sleek palette for awhile and I had decided that I didn't need another completely nude palette and I really like the shades that are in the palette.

Marks and Spencer's:-
Nuxe Rêve de Meil Lip Moisturings Stick with Honey and Sunflower £5.50
I have the Nuxe Rêve de Meil and I wanted something that I could carry around with me as I don't like to take the glass jar with me, I will get a lot of use out of this over the cooler months.

No7 Stay Prefect Superlight Foundation- Review

I bought this foundation a few weeks ago as I wanted something that was lighter than my normal foundation but something that wouldn't melt off my face within about an hour. I was also looking for something that I could also carry around with me when I was going swimming.

My friend has been using this foundation for while so I decided to give it ago and I went in to boots and was colour matched as the lightest shade (I don't no why I bother being colour matched).

So what can I say about this foundation well as the name suggests it is a light foundation that has light to medium coverage and it is great for just evening out the skin and I feel like I can get away with not wearing concealer, but it doesn't completely cover them but it does make them less noticeable.

Straight after appliction

6 hours later

The foundation itself has some powder in it which does help to slightly matte down my face and although it says it lasts for 24 hour I would say it lasts that long but it does look good during the day. I do however feel the need to powder it as I do tend to look quite shiny as the day goes on but that is normal with any foundation.

I have also worn this with and without a primer and I have found that it lasts a little longer with a matte primer as it help to control my oily skin.

I do really like this foundation and for its price I can't really complain £14.50 but No7 have a lot of offers on so it is possible to get it a little cheaper, and although it is more expensive than my Rimmel Match Perfect I prefer this foundation as it gives better coverage and it always looks good.

Books I've Been Reading

I don't get a lot of time to sit a read books during term time so I have been catching up on it during the holidays and I fallen back in love with my kindle.

I eventually finished Sarah Waters Fingersmith and I love this type of book and had great fun reading it but I has taken me a while to finish it as I felt like I had to be quite awake to read it so not great for reading before bed, but is great of bus journeys.

I also bought a book I have wanted to read ever since I saw the movie and that is Desert of the Heart, and loved this book it was a great read and only took me a few days to finish, thank god I have a amazon voucher. The book was great especially as it was published in 1964 and it was a groundbreaking story at the time.

Another book I bought for when I was on holiday was Playing the Game by Belle De Jour and so far I am enjoying the book, I do find myself laughing quite abit and it may not be to everyone's tastes I am enjoying reading it.

I have also started to reread some books and of course I have to start rereading the Harry potter series as these are books that I can read again and again.

Beauty wish list

So this is my Beauty Wish list

Elemis Fresh Skin, Skin Clear Mattifying Moisturiser £21.00: I have been looking for a very mattifying moisturiser, as my current one is running out and doesn't really help to control oil as much as I would like it too.

Illimasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow £17.50:
I have wanted a cream contour for a while but everyone I have seen has either been to dark or too orange for my very pale skin, but this colour looks like it would work really well.

Superfacialist Clay Mask £5.99:
Now I know that I can buy this online but with skin care I love going in to boots and looking around, I have been after this mask since Christmas when I bought my friend one as a Christmas present and it took me an age to find one and every time I have been into boots since it hasn't been in stock :(

Eucerin Purifyer Cleanser £9.50:
I have been using a sample of this for a few weeks that my friend gave me as she has raved about it and I have to say it is an amazing cleanser, which really does amazing things to my skin and really helps to stop breakouts.

Seven Deadly Sins Tag

1. Greed, What is you most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item has to be one of my Makeup Revolution Eye shadow Palettes. My most expensive beauty item has to be my Urban Decay Naked Palettes.

2. Wrath, What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
The beauty product that has been hardest to get, in fact I still haven't got it is the Super Facialist Anti Blemish Clay Mask, and yes I could buy this online but every time I have gone into boots it has been out of stock. The product I have a love/hate relationship with is my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation as some days it will look really nice and others it will look streaky.

3. Gluttony, What are your most delicious beauty product?
My most delicious beauty product would have to my Nuxe Reve de Miel as I love the smell and the product is amazing too.

4. Sloth, What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?
I normally neglect my eyebrows as I have rather full eyebrows and I can't really but bothered to do much to them.

5. Pride, What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
Lipstick is the product that gives me the most self confidence, and a good matte moisturiser too as hate it when my skin gets very oily.

6. Lust, What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
Erm... I don't really but I do find someone's personality very attractive.

7. Envy, What item would you like to receive as a gift?
If it was a beauty product I would have to say a Chanel lipstick but I really like it when a lot of though has gone into it.

Starting to swim again

It's safe to say I have a major love of swimming, it was one of the few sports that I was good at as it didn't involve running. When I was younger I used to be part of a swimming club and used to go swimming about twice a week.

I stopped swimming when I was around 12-13, although I have done a little bit here and there is hasn't been weekly like it was for most of my childhood, so about a year ago me and Becca mentioned that we would start to swim again but we never got around to it, so last week we decided that we would start so we did. We both remembered how much we loved swimming so we are going to start making it a regular thing which is very exciting as I now have the swimming bug which is brilliant.

We are aiming to go swimming once a week which is really good as it gives us both an excuse to meet up and get out of the house as we really need a push to leave the house during the holidays. we have also discovered that we do a lot more exercise when it is busy as we both feel the need to keep swimming so we don't keep anyone waiting.

This was just a little bit of an update and what I have been up to over the past few weeks.

Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review

I have been using this cleanser for awhile now and I thought it was about time that I reviewed it, the body shop say that the silky soft cleanser will effortlessly remove makeup and cleanse. It's really easy to use and I do love the body shop skin care as it has helped me out a lot in the past.

So now that we know what the body shop say it does let's hear my opinion, I have to say I love the smell of this product and it's not a over powering, I find the smell quite relaxing which is always nice for a cleanser.
The purpose of the cleanser is to remove make up and cleanse your face, so pretty simple really.

The texture of this cleanser is really soft and does feel amazing on the skin which is nice and it really does making removing makeup quick and easy which is always good as it doesn't take me an age to remove makeup and cleanse your face.

The packaging is really practical as it is clear which means you can see exactly how much product you have left and the pump is great as you don't end up with too much product so you don't waste much of the product. Another great thing about the product as on the back to gives clear instructions on how to use the product which is always a bonus ( I hate products that don't tell you how to use them).

As I have already said I really love this and it works really well it removes makeup really quickly and easily and it doesn't leave you skin feeling greasy or oily which is always good and I have found that I can use this with my oily skin and if says it is for all skin tupe and I have to say I agree with it as this would work on all skin types. I also love the fact that this can be used to remove eye makeup as I dislike having to use to different products to remove my makeup.
I would say that anyone can use this product, it's isn't anti aging but it would be suitable for anyone looking for a great way to remove makeup and cleansing their face. I will definitely repurchase this once I have finish it, which might take me awhile.

The cleanser costs £10.00 and you get 200ml of product.

You can find the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil here.

July Favourites

I really can't believe that it is the end of July already, so on to my July favourites

The first thing I have fallen back in love with is my Naked 2 palette, as I love my neutral eyeshadows and I have also been loving my purple eyeshadow from Inglot.

The second thing I have been loving this month is my Body Shop Camolie Cleansing oil as it makes taking my makeup off so quick and easier which is always brilliant, and it smell lovely too which is always a bonus for skin care.

For makeup brushes I have been completely in love with my new Crown Blush brush, as I can apply any type of blusher with is which is great and it means that I can apply my blusher to exactly where I want it which I struggled to do with my Real Techniques Blush Brush.

Another makeup favourite has to be my Estée Lauder Double wear foundation in the shade Ivory Nude,  although this is a very full coverage foundation it doesn't feel to heavy on my skin and it is the only foundation that won't melt of my face as the day goes on which is something I really struggle with in summer.

Early in the month I bought a new scrub from the body shop as my peach scrub had ran out so i decided to try the body shop Blueberry Scrub Gelee which I have to say I have fallen completely in love with as it is a very good scrub but I doesn't leave a sticky residue on my skin like some suger scrubs, for example soap and glory flake away.

Another thing I have been wearing a lot of this month is my body shop body mist in vinyard peach, it is a lovely stuble smell that lasts quite well on me, and it isn't a hassle to apply like my miniatures from L'Occitane.

That is it for my July favourites and I would love it if you could follow me on twitter and on bloglovin.

Face of the Day 1

So I have decided to start doing face of the days as I love reading what makeup people are wearing so let's talk about what I have on my face today.

Base:
The first thing I have is my Body Shop Skin Primer Matte It, which is a nice primer it's not as amazing as the benefit Porefessional but it does help to keep my oily skin under control, for foundation I used my Illmasqua Liquid Light foundation which I do really like although I do have to power it as it isn't a matte foundation, for my blemishes I used my Seventeen Phwoarr Paint in the Shade fair which does blend into my skin really well. To conceal my under eye circles I used my MaxFactor CC colour corrector for dark circles and my Seventeen Stay time 18 hour concealer.

Eyes:
The first thing used was my Makeup Revolution focus and fix eye primer in matte, I the used my Naked 2 palette, the shades I used was booty call all over my lid, tease in my crease and busted in the outer corner and for Mascara I used my benefit they're real.

Cheeks:
For blush I used was my Revlon Photo Ready blush in Flushed, which is a lovely pink shade and for Bronzer and contour was my Bodyshop Honey Bronzer in the shade 02, which is a really lovely shade that isn't too dark for me. For highlighter I used my Makeup Revolution vivid baked highlighter in the shade peach lights, which gives a lovely glow to the skin and my Rimmel matte power to set everything into place,

Lips:
Strangely for me I'm not actually wearing anything on my lips and if I do I am wearing my Nuxe Rêve de Miel lip balm or my lip butter in the shade tutti fruiti.

Newcastle Pride and Staying at the Sandman Signature

So this weekend me and my girlfriend decided to go away for the night and it happened to be the same weekend as Newcastle pride so we decided that on the Saturday we would go so this is an overview of what we did.

So as we were staying at the Sandman Signature we decided to head downstairs to the restaurant that is attached to the hotel which is called the Shark Club and I have to say I have been looking forward to this as I have looked at there menu a few times and my parents had told be that the food is great. I have to say I would love to eat everything on there menu as it does remind me a little of Florida (can you tell I love the place) anyway, I have only previously eaten breakfast here and that was before they fixed the salt situation anyway I digress. Now we ate here twice once on the Friday night where we ordered the Nachos that were meant to be for starters but ended up coming at the same time as the mains which meant that there was a lot of food. For main course I had the Chicken Pesto Quesadilla which was quite nice and the girlfriend had a Classic Burger which looked really nice.

We then decided that we would go out for a few drinks and we ended up in the Fourth at Central Station and it was nice as I much prefer a pub and it meant that we were able to have a conversion which is always a bonus.

So on the Saturday we had decided that we would go to pride and neither of us had been before, we ended up meeting some of her friends and it was really nice to walk in the parade although it was very hot, but we enjoyed it and I ended up meeting one of my grandmas friends who was there taking photographs and she insisted that she took one of the two of us I have to say it is a lovely picture. We didn't stay long at pride as it was very hot and we weren't really dressed appropriately, and sadly as it was so busy we didn't get to talk to Becca but I am meeting her on Thursday so that isn't to bad.

Once we had left, we ended up in my home away from home costa as both of our feet were sore and we needed a sit down, I had a iced skinny latte and Hayley had a Skinny Sticky Toffee Cooler that she really liked. As we had to collected our cases from the Sandman Signature so we decided to go back to the Shark Club again as we hadn't eaten anything and were starting to get hungry. Hayley again had the Classic Burger and I had the Ginger Beef Rice Bowl and I have to say I really enjoyed it as it wasn't  too heavy and was flavoured really well my only complaint might be that there was a lot of rice but it was lovely.

My Orange Lipsticks

So as you may or my not be aware I have a major love of lipstick and just realised that I have quite a lot of orange lipsticks well four that are almost the same colour, so let's get on to the lipsticks.

The first one I have is my MAC Lady Danger which is an orangey red colour, which I have to say I fell in love with it as soon as I swatched it but I have mentioned that before so, back to the post. Now while I was swatching these I noticed that one of my Rimmel lipsticks was a very similar colour not formula wise but they are definitely similar in colour.

So I have to say my Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade In Love with Ginger is a little bit more orange than Lady Danger but is very similar in colour but the finish of the lipstick is a lot more moisturising and is lot more comfortable to wear during the day as it doesn't dry my lips out.

The next orange lip colour I have is my Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in the shade Audacious, which is a pure orange colour and although it is a matte lip colour its isn't as drying as my other matte lipsticks which means that it is very comfortable to wear.

Now my last orange lip colour is one I got a few years ago and it was the first orange colour I had and it is my Revlon Lip Butter in the Shade Tuti Fruiti, which just giving a lovely was of orange over the lips and will look different depending on how dark your own lip colour is and because it is a lip butter is isn't drying on the lips which is always a bonus in the summer months.

Yay we have booked a holiday to Florida :)

Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom

Now the first thing to say is that I am a bit of a Disney nut and Florida has been my holiday for years before I started university and I haven't had the chance to go back for almost three years, so when me and Becca @Becca_J_Goddard decided that at the end of our third yeah we would go to America we originally thought that we would go to New York but my mam suggested that we go to Orlando in Florida and I have to say I was taken with the idea as I have missed Disney and universal.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

So progress so far the first thing we did was book our Disney hotel as they had the Disney dining plan for free which is great as it means that while on site at Disney we don't need to pay for food well if it is over $5 anyway. We are staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and I have to say it looks amazing as my parents stayed here last year and I was so jealous, as it is one of the best themed hotel on Disney property.

Royal Pacific Resort

We decided to wait to book the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios as they don't normally sell out and they didn't. We had to wait to book our flights anyway as they hadn't released so today we booked the flights which was exciting and terrifying at the same time. We also decided to book the Royal Pacific Resort at the same time as with the opening of Diagon alley the Universal Hotels are getting booked quicker than usual.

So for now everything is booked and we can't wait for next year and I am really excited as there are a lot of things have changed since I was there so I am really looking forward to it.

Lip Addict Tag

1. Favorite balm/treatment?
My favourite balm has to be the Nuxe Rêve de Miel lip balm and I have to say I love this it can help fix my chapped lips overnight which is brilliant in the winter as they can get very dry and I also love using it the warmer months as my lips still tend to get dry.

2. Best eye-catching red?
I have so many reds that it is hard to choose a favourite but I might have to say my new Ellis Faas creamy lips in the shade L103 which is a amazing shade and make my teeth look really white which is always good.

3. Best luxury & best drugstore?
My best luxury lip product has to be my Ellis Faas as I never saw myself owning on and have always found them amazing. My best drug store lip product has to be my moisture renew lipsticks from Rimmel as the colour pay off is amazing and they don't dry my lips out.

4. Best MAC lipstick?
My best MAC lipstick has to be my Lady Danger lipstick as the colour is amazing and it last really well because it is matte.

5. The most disappointing?
I don't really have a disappointing lip product as I normally research and swatch them before I bit them but the lipsticks I was really hoping I would like were the Revlon Suade lipsticks as the colours look amazing but a friend and fellow blogger told me that they were very drying and that they applied patchy, so I decided not to try them as I didn't want to waste my money.

6. Liner - yes or no?
Now I have tried lip liner before but I always feel like it looks wrong on my lips and I also quite like when my lipstick feathers which may be strange but I like the worn look.

7. Best gloss?
Now I don't really use lipgloss as I don't really like the glossy look on my lips, I do however love my Rimmel apocalips as they are long lasting liquid lipsticks that do have a bit of shine to them.
8. Something extra!
So how can do go a whole post on lips on not mention lip crayons now these have been done so many times now you can get them from almost every brand, however I have never been so excited until I found out that Revlon were bring out there matte balms and that we were getting the full colour range in the Uk and I have to say I am in love with the two colours I have which are Shamless which is a lovely purple shade and Audacious, which is a lovely orange shade and I have to pick some more of these up.

My Body Shop Haul

So recently the Body shop were having a sale and when I received an email saying that I could get an extra 40% off I had to check it out so here is a Body Shop Haul

One of the first things that I put in my basket was the Passion Fruit Body Butter and I probably didn't need another body butter but I really wanted a nice fruity body butter an I am completely in love with it and I love the smell.

The next thing I picked up was the Passion Fruit Shower Gel now I got this to go with the body butter as I like to layer up smells as the always seem to last longer that way.
The third thing I picked up was the Blueberry Body Scrub Gelee, now I have to say this wasn't something that I thought I would like as I am very picky when it comes to scrubs, I have the Soap and Glory flake away and I really don't like it as I sticks to my legs and I don't feel clean when I have used it. Now back to the Blueberry Body Scrub Gelee, I really like this as it feels amazing on the skin and isn't too abrasive and the smell is amazing as well.
The fourth thing I picked up was Strawberry Shower Gel, now I didn't pick this up for me I bought 4 for these for my mam awhile ago and as she was running out, I decided to order her another one, as she really does like strawberry scents.
The fifth thing I picked up my the Raspberry Shower Gel, I do really love how this smells and I had told my self I didn't need anymore shower gel but I have used a lot over the last few months and I have a feeling my mam will be sharing this with me.
Now the sixth thing I bought wasn't for me as my mam asked if I could order me another Strawberry Eau de Toilette as she had noticed that hers was only half full so I picked her another one up.
I also picked up the Vineyard Peach Body Mist and I have been wearing this almost everyday since I bought it and I really to love the smell its not to powerful that it is too much and it doesn't really last well on me which is great.
The last thing I picked up was the Skin Primer Matte It, now I have been using the
Smashbox sample of their Photo finish primer but it isn't right for my skin so I decided to give this a go and I have to say as I first impression I do really like it I will do a review when I have used it more.
Also if you haven't already follow me on BlogLovin and twitter.

Visiting the Hancock Museum

Recently I have visited the Hancock museum for the first time in a very long time, now I still have to go back and finish exploring as I didn't really have time to view it all, but I have to say I did remember what I loved about it as a child and really do have to go explore when I have lot more time.

Now the Hancock museum was something I forgot existed and even though I go to university in newcastle I have never thought to just go I'm and have a look and it's free which is also great, the only downside was when I was there, there were about 2 different schools trips which did make it busy for periods of time but it was lovely to have a walk around.

I only explore the downstairs area as I didn't really have time to explore all of it but what I did see was very interesting and I would recommend going to visit if you like history, I viewed there dinosaur exhibition and also some of the archeology exhibitions and I will have to go back and vist the rest sometime soon (I'm sure the girlfriend will be thrilled).

London and IMATS

So last Sunday Me and Becca from (Polkadot Note Book) took a trip down to IMATS and we were really excited, as we have wanted to go for a while but never found the time to go. So when she suggested it I got my dad to book the train tickets as I was going straight back down to London after coming back from holiday.
We got an early train that got us to London around 11 o'clock which was great, we were getting the train back again at 7 o'clock so we had quite a lot of time. So the first thing we did was buy our tube tickets which I think was the most nerve wrecking part of getting on the tube once we had our tickets we made our way over to Olympia National where IMATS was being held.

We then applied the Disney principle which is you head to the back and work your way forwards, so our first stop was crown brushes where I did actually pick up some brushes up more on that later we then wandered around for a while and ended up at Inglot were we stood for a bit but then decided to wander again, we then made a purchase at Ellis Faas (more on this later) and headed back to Inglot were we made our palettes and sadly I wasn't having much luck here as every matte purple I tried to buy they had sold out of so I ended up coming away with three colours which I adore (I will get a matte purple soon), so we then made another brush purchase which I have to say I am already in love with.

We then left IMATS as we both felt we had done what we wanted to and get what we wanted and we wanted to use the rest of our day to explore London as it is a long time since either of us have been, so we basically hope back on the tube and went to explore and other stories and I have to say we weren't that impressed which was a shame as we had heard a lot of good things about it.

We then wandered up  Regent Street and Oxford Street, where we had a nosey in some of the shops and then we headed back to Kings Cross in hopes of finding food but nothing really took our fancy. So we head back over to Leicester Square were we spotted a nice little Italian called Bella Italia and I have to say the service was great and they were really friendly, after we finished we head back to Kings Cross and by this time we were both tired and headed home.

We both really enjoyed our day out in London and have promised ourselves that we have to go back for longer than a day as we would have loved more time to do the touristy things around London.

So as I said I picked up a few things at IMATS:

So the first thing I picked up was an some Brushes from Crown, I pickup was the BK04 angled Blush Brush and the next brush I picked up was the BK37 Round Tapered Crease Brush.
Inglot Palette
Top Left 330, Top Right 446, Bottom Left 09

I picked up an Inglot Eye Shadow Palette, the first colour is a Cream Matte Shade 330, the next shade I picked up was shimmery bronze shade 09 and the last colour I picked up was a Purple shade with a pearl finish 446 and I have to say I am in love with all of these colours and I am going pick up a Matte purple shade then my palette will be complete.

I also picked up an Ellis Faas Creamy Lips in the shade L103 which is a lovely orange- red shade that does look very dark on the sponge but not when it is applied to the lips, I fell completely in love it when I swatched it.

The last thing I picked up was a Royal & Langnickel BKABUKKI- 25 kabuki brush that is amazing for using it with powder.

The Making of Harry Potter and the Rest of My Holiday

Hogwarts

So I have been on holiday for the past week and we were staying near a lovely place called Henley on Thames which I sadly don't have pictures of as I forgot my camera, but it was a very lovely place.

So as we were down near London me and dad decided to go and visit the Making of Harry Potter and I have to say it was amazing and I am so glad that I eventually got to do it and I could have spent a lot longer in there if it was so full of school children which did make it slightly difficult as they did on occasion block my view of things but over all it was amazing and see some of the pictures I took below.

Travel Makeup Bag

So as I have said I have been away which meant that I had to cull my normal makeup stash, so this what I took with me.

For base:
I took my sample of my Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, I also took two sample pots of foundation, I took my sample of YSL Tient Touché Éclat and a sample pot filled with my Rimmel Match Prefect foundation, for my concealer I took my Seventeen Phwoarr Paint which I use on my blemishes and for under my eyes I took my Seventeen Stay Time 18 Hour Concealer in the shade Extra Fair and for powder I took my Rimmel Stay Matte power in the shade 003 Peach Glow.

For Eyes:
I took my Makeup Revolution Matte Eye Shadow Primer and I also took my Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 palette, which I  have really fallen in love with, I also took my Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner in the shade 005 Nude and for Mascara I took my Benefit They're Real, which I have been using for a while and I do love it even though it does smudge during the day but I haven't get found a mascara that doesn't.

For Cheeks:
I took a few products for my cheeks, I took my Sleek Blush in the shade Rose Gold, which I don't use very often as it is very shimmery but I do love getting it out when it is sunny, for bronzer I took two different products, I took my Body Shop Honey Bronzer in the shade 02 and my Sleek Contour Kit in the shade Light.

For Lips:
I surprising I only took three different lips products and I took a lip balm with me which was my lip smacker, and for my lipsticks I took my L'Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse in the shade Rebel Red and my Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 077 Asia.

Travel Skin Care

The first thing to do is to apologise for my absence, I have been on holiday for just over a week and I have been without Internet for the majority of that time and as I though I wasn't going to have internet I did take my ipad with me, so blogging had to take a back seat and it was nice to have a break as well anyway on to what this post is about my travel skin care.

So the frist thing I packed was a recent purchase of mine and it was the body shop camomile silky cleansing oil which is really great at taking your makeup off and cleansing and great for when you are in a caravan bathroom. And I plan on reviewing is when I have been using it a little longer.

The second thing I packed was my one touch spot treatment as I had some breakouts before I left so I took this just in case and it really did help to reduce how red my spots were, although it did take a few days it didn't feel like it was drying out the skin surrounding said spot.

I also took my body shop Seaweed toner which I have but in a spray bottle as it make it much quicker to use, and I do like using this.

I also took my Nivea oil free moisturising day cream which I have used for a long time now and does he to keep my oily skin under control, which is also great when it is hot as my skin can go into over drive.

And for my night time moisturiser I took my Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream and my Vitamin E serum in oil which is great and I love using this as they both help to hydrate my skin which although I am oily it can get very dehydrated so I do sometimes need to give it a moisture boost.

I have to say when I go away I don't really take face masks with me as I don't really have a lot of time or space to use them so when I get back I will normally use them slightly more to make up for it

Band Focus Illamasqua

Now Illamasqua is a high end brand that I surprisingly have a a lot of products from them but I have to say that I didn't pay full price for any of them, I really love Illamasqua sales as they heavily discount sales, let's get started

The first thing I bought from them was a lipstick in the shade Sangers which is a lovely matte red shade that last a very long time, and for a lipstick hoarder I only have one of there lipstick but I hope to fix this the next time they have a sale.

The next thing was given to by my best friend as it was too heavy for her skin and it is Illamasqua Skin Base in 03 and I have to say I really like this foundation as it does give me a very flawless finish which is great of I am having a bad skin day.
The next thing I bought was there Liquid Light Foundation in the shade 133 which is the same shade as skin base which is a much lighter coverage and I tend to use this more in summer, but never when it is raining.
The next foundation I have from them Cream Foundation in the shade 133 and is the foundation that gives me the most coverage and I do find I have to power this or I feel like I get very oily but I do love the coverage that this gives.

The next product I have from there is one of their cream blusher in the Shade Seduce which is a colour that I wore a lot over the winter as a gave a winter flush to the checks which is lovely I will also be able to wear this in summer as it isn't too red, as I comes across as a little more pink.

The next thing I have are two powder eye shadows in the Shade Drama which is a lovely navy shade which was I like to use when I am doing a Smokey eye as I just gives a little bit of colour that isn't my usual browns. The next shade I have white shimmery shade in the Shade Moonflower, which is a great inner corner highlight.
I also have a Liquid Mental eye shadow in the shade Electrum which is a lovely gold cream shade, this does however have a tendency to crease when is on the eye which is a shame as it is a really lovely colour.
The next this is a Precision Ink in the shade Glister, now this I haven't got very much use out of as I don't really wear eyeliner and I am at using liquid eyeliner and it also isn't a shade that I really get along with.

The last things I own from Illamasqua is two nail varnishes in the shades Elope and Jan, Elope is a lovely green shade in the bottle but is it very sheer when it is applied to the nails which is disappointing as I had so much hope for this as I love green nail varnish and Jan is a nude colour which is very opaque and applies really nicely but this isn't a colour that I would wear often but I might have to try and wear it more as it is a nice colour.
That is it for what I have collected no from Illamasqua.

Summer lip colours

Summer Lip Colours

In summer I like to wear brighter lipsticks and more reds, and oranges and I also seem to get more use out of my lips but better colours, in winter I love the deep purple and berry red colours anyway on to my summer lips colours.

So I have a few Rimmel apocalips, and I love most of the shade I own and I must used these more as the colours are amazing, I have the shades Big Bang which is a really amazing red colours that is an amazing classic bright red which I adore and I will get a lot of wear put of these over the summer,
I have the shade Stella which is more of a coral pink compared to apocaliptic which is a bright pink and this is more of a colour colour I would wear as is slightly closer to a red,
I also have colour apocaliptic, which is a different shade of pink which I should also wear it more, I wore this the other day and remembered why I loved it and as I don't normally go for a bright pink that is saying something. I also find that they are really long lasting and wear really well.
The only colour I own and don't really like is Luna as it just really doesn't suit me at all it makes me looked washed out.
The last thing I have Fromm Rimmel is one of there Moisture Renew Lipsticks in the shade In Love with Ginger which reminds me of my MAC Lady Danger just this a glossy.

The next lips are from Revlon and they are the Lip Butters now I only have two of these and the colours I have are 015 tutti fruitti which is a really wearable orange that can be built up of you want more intensity and this is a colour I really love to wear as it is so easy to pull off and feels really nice on the lips which is always good. The next lip butter I have is a pink in the colour strawberry shortcake which is such a lovely wearable light pink which can also be built up and it does look amazing I should really wear this more.

The also have one of the Revlon kissable balm stains in the shade Romantic which I am wearing as I write this is is a lovely red shade that can be worn really shear or built up so that it is an intense colour. I also have one of the new colorbrust Matte balm in the shade audacious which is a very opaque orange which I adore as I do love bright lips.

The next lip colour I have are from L'Oréal and they are the Glam Shine Splash Stains in the Colour Lolita which is a nude colour but it is great for days when you don't want a lot of colour I also have the shade endless red which I think is called Juliette in the UK, I love both of these and do get quite a bit of wear out of them. I also have the rouge caresse in the shade rebel red and I really do love the formula but I think l'oreal , might be discontinuing them which is really sad as they are amazing. The last l'oreal lipstick I have is Color Riche in the shade Scarlett Creme and it is a really nice red lipstick I got for my birthday so I don't no where you can buy it.

The last lipstick I have to mention I'd my MAC Lipstick in the shade Lady Damger and this is an amzing matte orange red colour and it is amazing.
